Why did I do that? Because I was embarrassed? Why?! Shouldn't breastfeeding be a completely natural act? Surely it's not something that you should be ashamed to do or worried about offending someone because your child needs to eat?! Surely it's not something that you should feel you need to slink off to a filthy toilet to do for fear that some busybody might see a quick flash of your breast? Surely it's not something that could ever possibly be compared to masturbation?!
Now I have no gorgeous photos that I can get nostalgic over. Plus, I have no photos that I can send to The League of Maternal Justice. But I am asking you: If you're not dumb like me and have any photos of yourself breastfeeding, or are currently breastfeeding won't you join The Great Virtual Breastfest on Oct. 10? Or, if you haven't breastfed maybe you could grab a button for your blog? I believe it's a truly important cause. Women need to stop being discriminated against if they choose to breastfeed. I did find one photo that I took of my son while he was nursing but I made sure everything was covered up before I took the picture. Siiigh

That is still a beautiful photograph. Look at him looking up at you! THAT is the best part of nursing, for me.
I ranted about the Bill Maher thing too, and I'm with you. Thanks for letting me know about the Breastfest!
It is a beautiful picture (and I was the same about covering up).
I think it's a great photo. The look in his eye is lovely. My whole post tomorrow is about the "oh gah my boob is out" thing - I think my goal btw now and the 10th is to get the Kaiser to try long enough to snap a photo.
I know! I have no photos of my son nursing, either! I'll be sure to take some with the next baby!
Awwww, it's still a great picture!!!!
Love that picture!
That's a gorgeous picture! And sadly, not only do I not have any photos of me breastfeeding, there are barely any photos of me at all, I'm always the one behind the camera.
That is a great picture.
Not only do I not have pictures of me breastfeeding, I don't have a single exposed belly shot from when I was pregnant.
I want a do-over!!
That is such a great picture. He looks so content.
I have no pictures of me nursing #1 either. Now that I'm nursing the second, I'm going to get a picture. I don't want to forget that sweet look.
It's a wonderful picture. I've only got one or two BF shots, taken at the hospital. I wish that I had more.
He looks so wise for one so young...
